Doctor Who Treated PM's Cough After Revolution Relocates to Armenia Permanently

French-Armenian doctor Gevorg Abgaryan is preparing to settle permanently in Armenia this summer with his family. In an interview with Armtimes.com, Abgaryan revealed that the decision to move from Paris to Yerevan was made after the Velvet Revolution.

Notably, the doctor treated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's cough during the post-revolution period, a condition that specialists had struggled to resolve for a considerable time.

Gevorg Abgaryan first visited Armenia after the 1988 earthquake due to his profession, but he states that he fell in love with his homeland immediately. To this day, he collaborates closely with local doctors and has established an oncology department at Yerevan's Nairi Medical Center, named after his late wife.

Further discussions regarding the reasons for his decision to settle in Yerevan and various healthcare projects underway can be found on the original website.
