Gas Cylinders for Vehicles with 7 Seats Should Be Installed Exclusively on the Roof, Proposal by BHK MPs
Members of the National Assembly from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction, Arthur Dallakyan and Artyom Tsarukyan, have introduced a legislative initiative proposing that gas cylinder systems for vehicles with 7 or more seats be removed from the passenger compartment and relocated to the roof of the vehicle.
According to the proposal, for public transport vehicles with 7 (including 6+1) or more seats, the gas cylinder can only be installed on the roof of the vehicle and must be covered from the external environment by an outer casing.
The justification for the project states that it is necessary because the gas cylinder systems in vehicles often ignite during accidents, leading to explosions. As a result, citizens frequently suffer burns of varying degrees or, worse, sustain life-threatening injuries while unable to exit the vehicle.
