Vitaly Balasanyan Issues Statement

Vitaly Balasanyan's office has issued a statement regarding the death of Georgy Kutoyan:

“On January 17, the body of former NSS head Georgy Kutoyan was discovered in an apartment on Paruir Sevak Street in Yerevan, with a gunshot wound. We express our condolences to Georgy Kutoyan’s family, relatives, and loved ones on his untimely passing.

We emphasize the importance of conducting the ongoing investigation under the scrutiny and oversight of civil society. Given Georgy Kutoyan's responsible positions held previously in the Republic of Armenia and his young age, we call upon all officials, political organizations, representatives of civil structures, and individuals to refrain from biased assessments regarding the incident.”
