We Are Paying for the Violations of MPs: Gevorg Grigoryan
We are paying for the violations of MPs; the point system does not apply to them. This was stated by actor Gevorg Grigoryan on his Facebook page.
He specifically mentioned: “Are people aware that the MPs who voted for the point system are immune to that very law? The state license plates allocated to them belong to the National Assembly, and the traffic police do not know specifically which number belongs to whom. Their violations are sent to the National Assembly, where fines are paid from the state budget. But again, I'm saying — they will not be deprived of points; this is only for us. That law does not apply to police officers either. The existing system is the same; their fines go to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In other words, in Armenia, the one who fines does not get fined and does not enter the point system, nor will cars with Russian license plates be fined. This is a law that applies only to ordinary people like us; how fair is that? Why are the reforms aimed at hitting already persecuted individuals? Do they want not only to offload roads but also to burden homes?
This ill-thought-out, illogical point system is going to lead to a rise in unemployment figures by at least 50,000 to 60,000, an increase in crime rates, and emigration. And the elected elites will remain immune, pampered, warm, and rewarded. For what merit? The NSS knows!”
