Khamenei Calls Britain, Germany, and France US Puppets

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, has referred to the three European participants of the JCPOA—Britain, Germany, and France—as unreliable puppets of the United States.

“Britain, Germany, and France are doing nothing. They will serve the interests of the United States. They are puppets,” Khamenei declared during Friday prayers, speaking to hundreds of Iranians.

The Supreme Leader emphasized that the statements from these countries are baseless. He added that the Europeans “will not be able to bring their nation to its knees.”

On Tuesday, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom announced the activation of a dispute resolution mechanism regarding the nuclear deal with Iran, citing Tehran's rejection of certain commitments under the agreement.
