Medvedev Appointed Deputy Chairman of Security Council
Russian President Vladimir Putin has created the position of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council and appointed Dmitry Medvedev to this post. This was reported by РИА Новости.
It is noteworthy that the day before, Medvedev had announced his resignation along with the entire composition of the Russian government, after which Putin stated that he would offer him the aforementioned position.
The Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation is the head of the state.
Additionally, the State Duma of the Russian Federation has approved the candidacy of Mikhail Mishustin, head of the Federal Tax Service, for the position of Prime Minister, a proposal put forth by Putin.
