Car Crashes Into Gas Pipeline in Yerevan, Causing Leak
On January 16, at 23:46, the "911" service received a call regarding a traffic accident on the first lane of Nar-Dosi Street in Yerevan, where a vehicle had crashed into a gas pipeline, causing a leak without the risk of fire.
A firefighting unit from the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service in Yerevan was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the main gas pipeline near building 4/3 on the first lane of Nar-Dosi Street had been damaged, resulting in a gas leak, but no vehicle involved in the accident was found.
Rescue workers secured the area and monitored the situation. Subsequently, the gas emergency service personnel managed to halt the leak by closing the gas valve.
