52-Year-Old Driver Injures 13-Year-Old Child in Gyumri
Today, on January 16, a traffic accident occurred in the Shirak region. At approximately 17:35, a 52-year-old resident of Gyumri, identified as Ashot M., struck a pedestrian—13-year-old Astghik A. from Gyumri—while driving his Opel Vectra with license plate number 35 XV 221.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the child to the hospital. Officers from the 2nd platoon of the 2nd company of the traffic police arrived at the scene, led by platoon commander Vache Malakyan and squad commander Lyudvig Ghandilyan.
The senior investigator of the same platoon, Nairi Gasparyan, was in charge of the investigative work on site, during which materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
