What Tonoyan and Members of the Bright Armenia Faction Discussed

According to the "Zhoghvorud" newspaper, the "Bright Armenia" faction had a question-and-answer session with RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan for more than 3 hours yesterday within the framework of meetings with law enforcement agencies.

According to the newspaper's information, the minister disclosed all the issues that concerned the members of the Bright Armenia faction during the closed meeting, although he kept certain details to himself. Sources from the newspaper report that at the very beginning of the closed session, an agreement was reached between the Minister of Defense and the faction's deputies that no detailed information would be provided to the media regarding the meeting, due to national security concerns.

It has been reported that the most active in asking questions to the minister was faction leader Edmon Marukyan, who urged the minister to do everything possible to eliminate the bad practices in the army.

It is worth noting that the newspaper has also learned details about the meeting on January 13 between the interim head of the RA Police, Arman Sargsyan, and the same faction's deputies. According to our information, the deputies first tried to understand from the police chief what legislative initiatives they could implement to assist the police, so that they feel protected among the public, as they often face "persecution." The meetings have not had a sharp or oppositional nature.
