Unacceptable: Makunts on Karen Sarukhanyan's Statement

The leader of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, Lilith Makunts, addressed the dispute between deputies Karen Sarukhanyan and Sofya Hovsepian during a meeting with journalists today. She deemed Sarukhanyan's remarks unacceptable and believes that to avoid such incidents, a permanent ethics committee should be established in the National Assembly.

It is worth noting that Sarukhanyan had deemed Hovsepian's criticism of the maternity hospital in Maralik unacceptable and eventually suggested that the deputy get married.

Later, Sarukhanyan revisited the issue on his Facebook page and concluded by stating that if his advice was misinterpreted by Hovsepian, he apologizes.
