Robbery at Bank Revealed: One Arrested
The investigation department of the Lori regional investigative office of the RA Investigative Committee has revealed the case of a robbery that took place at one of the banks operating in the town of Tashir. One individual has been arrested.
The press office of the RA Investigative Committee reports that preliminary data indicates that on January 14, 2020, at 09:49 AM, the person committing the alleged crime illegally entered the Tashir branch of the bank with the intent to steal someone else's property by robbery.
By bypassing the service area and brandishing a knife as a weapon, he threatened the bank employee with lethal violence, attempting to steal cash from the cash register. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, he was apprehended by a police officer serving in the branch.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Stepanavan investigative division of the Lori regional investigative office under Article 175, parts 2, sections 3 and 4 of the RA Criminal Code. The company and its employee have been recognized as victims.
As a result of investigative actions and operational-search measures, the identity of the individual committing the alleged crime has been established; he is a resident of Tashir, born in 1987. He has been arrested on suspicion of committing the aforementioned crime and has given a confession.
An inspection of the crime scene was conducted, resulting in the discovery and seizure of the knife used in the crime. The suspect's clothing and recordings from surveillance cameras at the crime scene were also confiscated. Forensic medical, forensic trace, and forensic expert examinations have been appointed, and several individuals have been interrogated. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
