Rescuers Begin Fire Suppression Work

On January 15, at 07:00, fire suppression work began in the area known as “Arpavut,” adjacent to the Shamakhan neighborhood. The fire was contained by 10:08.

Recall that on January 14, at 21:58, the 911 service received information regarding a fire outbreak near the forests of Dilijan. Fire and rescue teams from the regional emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the fire had erupted in the area adjacent to the Shamakhan neighborhood known as “Arpavut.” The area affected by the fire covers approximately 3000 square meters of vegetation. Due to darkness and challenging terrain, fire suppression efforts were not carried out, and duty was established.
