Prison Staff Discover Marijuana in Dental Clinic Restroom

The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia reports that on January 15 at around 1:00 PM, a convict from the 'Kosh' penitentiary, G. M., who was transferred to a dental clinic in Yerevan, attempted to use the clinic's restroom.

As per established protocols, the restroom was inspected by the prison staff, during which a package wrapped in polyethylene tape was discovered inside the toilet tank. Immediate action was taken, and the police were informed about the incident.

Upon examination of the package, two greenish masses weighing 3.52 and 3.40 grams, which resembled marijuana, were identified.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been ordered.
