Man Arrested in Iran for Filming Ukrainian Plane Shooting
A man who filmed the moment an Iranian missile struck a Ukrainian Boeing 737-800 aircraft on January 8 has been arrested in Iran, according to reports from the BBC. It is noted that the man will face charges for threatening national security.
Recall that on the night of January 7-8, the Boeing 737-800, belonging to a Ukrainian airline, crashed minutes after takeoff near Tehran’s airport. All 176 passengers and crew members aboard lost their lives.
On the same night, Iran launched missile strikes against an American military base and airbase located in Iraq. Iran has officially stated that the aircraft was shot down due to a military error.
