Investigating the Robbery of Styopa Safaryan Assigned to the Special Investigative Division
Given the public interest, we report that by the order of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Haik Grigoryan, the further investigation of the criminal case concerning the robbery of the Chairman of the Public Council, Styopa Safaryan, has been entrusted to the Main Division for the Investigation of Especially Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.
Regarding Styopa Safaryan's statement that no charges have been brought against anyone in the framework of the criminal case, "because the head of the investigators is the son of Haikaz Bagmanyan," we announce that Harutyun Haikaz Bagmanyan serves as the Deputy Head of the Investigative Division of the RA Investigative Committee for the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts. He has not exercised any procedural oversight in the aforementioned criminal case.
The criminal case has been investigated by O. Harutyunyan, an investigator from the Avan and Nor Nork administrative divisions of the Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, whose immediate supervisor is the deputy head of the same division, V. Lachinyan.
