I, as an educator, could not tolerate this situation: The director of the Vagharsapat school has been dismissed

The newly appointed director of Vagharsapat's Garegin Nzhdeh High School No. 8, Shushan M. Voskanyan, submitted her resignation just two days ago. In an interview with NEWS.am, Voskanyan stated that the decision was made independently, without any pressure. Her extensive experience as an educator did not allow her to continue tolerating the situation in the school, where the educational process had been halted.

“As a teacher with 27 years of experience, I could not accept the fact that students were absent from school for even one hour because these students went down this path without understanding the implications, and they were provoked by the teachers every day. On the 9th, more than 120 students attended school; however, the teachers, whom one might call educators in quotation marks, sent the students home after the bell rang, stating that they would come for filming from H1, inviting them to come and see the empty classrooms. Unlike the educators from the 8th school, who used the students as shields for their personal interests, I, as a long-time educator, could not tolerate such a situation.
