Hayk Marutyan Hosts STARMUS Festival Founder Garik Israelyan
The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has hosted Garik Israelyan, the founder and main organizer of the international STARMUS (Stars and Music) festival, a prominent Armenian astrophysicist. The festival brings together world-renowned scientists, astronauts, musicians, and Nobel Prize laureates.
This year, the 6th STARMUS festival will take place in Armenia. During the meeting, the parties discussed organizational issues related to the festival. Hayk Marutyan expressed that the city hall will do everything within its authority to ensure the international festival's success in Yerevan.
Members of the STARMUS council include astronaut Alexey Leonov, Queen band member Brian May, renowned scientist Emmanuel Charmantier, astrophysicists Jill Tarter and Robert Williams, musician Peter Gabriel, and other reputable figures in science and arts. The initiative to host the festival in Armenia comes from the President of the Republic, Armen Sarkissian.
