‘Joghavoroud’: Discussion on Celebration at ‘Dvin’ During CPP Meeting

‘Joghavoroud’ writes: ‘Yesterday, a regular meeting of the board of the Civil Contract party was held at the central office, attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Simultaneously, various rumors were circulating that the government party's board was discussing the issue of arresting former National Security Service director Arthur Vanetsyan for an attempted coup, as well as the topic of a significant exodus expected from the CPP. However, the details we received from this meeting suggest otherwise. While such issues may have been discussed, it has been agreed not to disclose them in any case.

In any case, according to our sources, this time the CPP board meeting did not last very long; it lasted just slightly over 2.5 hours, whereas it typically could last 4-5 hours. We were informed that during the meeting, one of the members proposed amendments to the law on political parties, but the Prime Minister interrupted him and stated that such initiatives need prior discussion before being presented, and did not allow him to continue his speech.

We also learned that after the meeting, there was a discussion about a celebration at the ‘Dvin’ restaurant scheduled for today, for which each member of the CPP paid 10,000 drams. The celebration is post-holiday and will take place at the ‘Dvin’ restaurant along the road to the holiest city of Armenia, Echmiadzin. ‘Joghavoroud’ has learned that after yesterday’s meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan personally paid his participation fee, giving 20,000 drams and receiving 10,000 drams back.
