Armen Sarkissian Participates in Renewable Energy Discussion in Abu Dhabi

During a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, participated in a discussion dedicated to sustainability, the environment, and renewable energy issues and the involvement of women in these areas, within the framework of the "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week."

As reported by the public relations department of the President's office, emphasizing the importance of such discussions, President Sarkissian stated that the raised issues pertain to the future and the challenges that lie ahead, as well as the risks we will face tomorrow. "We live in an age where young innovations and startups are governing the world," the president said. "This country serves as a good example of how new technologies, knowledge, wise decisions, and leadership can yield positive outcomes for all."

While speaking about sustainability and considering it an essential factor for the development of countries, President Sarkissian highlighted the role of women in ensuring sustainability and fostering an atmosphere of tolerance. Noting the unique and invaluable role of women within families, he emphasized their significant contributions to raising children, preserving culture, language, national values, and traditions.

Additionally, the president remarked that in a changing world, women have much broader opportunities to engage and showcase their qualities, participating in decision-making across various sectors of life and succeeding on different platforms, including in technology, politics, and business.
