The Court's Decision to Detain Norayr PanoSyann has been Appealed
The decision of the court to detain Norayr PanoSyann, a protégé of Constitutional Court President Hrayr Tovmasyan, has been appealed. This was announced to NEWS.am by Tigran Atanesyan, a member of PanoSyann's defense team.
When asked about the expectations of the defense regarding the decision of the Court of Appeals, Atanesyan stated, “We hope for a fair judge, that the judge will be competent, and that our appeal will be upheld.”
It should be noted that on January 9, the court granted the investigator’s petition from the Special Investigative Service and made a decision to detain PanoSyann. Additionally, on November 6, the Court of Appeals released Norayr PanoSyann from detention due to a lack of sufficient grounds for suspicion.
It is also important to remember that Norayr PanoSyann has been charged under part 2 of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to abuse of official power, resulting in grave consequences, and a new petition for his detention has been submitted.
