We Are Not Closing Any Medical Institutions, We Are Regulating the Types of Services: Minister Arsen Torosyan
We are not closing any medical institutions; we are regulating the types of services provided there. This was announced by Health Minister Arsen Torosyan during a Facebook live stream.
He noted that the reforms in the field of maternal care are only in the interest of the population. Arsen Torosyan urged people not to insist on the availability of substandard care at a closer medical facility:
“I have mentioned that driving a few kilometers further is less of a challenge than saving the life of a mother or a child. I want us to think in that direction, rather than demanding the availability of substandard services at a closer medical facility by blocking streets or through threats, blackmail, or other means.”
