Criminal Investigation and 6th Main Departments of Police Merged
On January 8, the acting head of the Police of Armenia, Colonel Arman Sargsyan, signed orders to dissolve the Criminal Investigation and the 6th Department for Combating Organized Crime, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
With another order from Arman Sargsyan, the mentioned main departments have been merged into the Chief Department of Criminal Police of Armenia. Colonel Artak Karapetyan, who is one of the veterans of the police system and known as an 'operationalist' within the framework, has been appointed as the head of the new department.
