Rouhani Calls Ukrainian Plane Shooting an Inexcusable Mistake

As previously reported, Iran has officially announced that the Ukrainian plane was shot down by its armed forces. The country's foreign minister stated that the incident occurred due to human error. Representatives of the armed forces identified the aircraft as a hostile target after it changed its direction towards a base located in the area.

In this regard, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has also made a statement. He noted, "The internal investigation conducted within the armed forces has revealed that the missiles, which tragically were fired from the base, caused this human tragedy. We will continue to investigate this great tragedy and the inexcusable mistake."
