Ceasefire Agreement Reached in Idlib, Says Cavusoglu

Ankara is hopeful that Moscow can convince Damascus of the necessity for peace in Idlib. This was stated by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, as reported by RIA Novosti. On Friday, Turkey's Ministry of Defense announced that Russia and Turkey have agreed to declare a ceasefire in Idlib starting January 12.

“We have reached a ceasefire agreement in Idlib, and I hope that Russia can convince that the situation in Syria should be resolved not through military means, but through dialogue,” Cavusoglu said in a conversation with reporters.
