Sotk-Karvachar Road Impassable, Vardenyats Pass Closed

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 30 at 08:15, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik Province) is closed for trucks, while passenger vehicles can only pass with difficulty.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable for all types of vehicles.

In the Vardenyats Pass (from the Vayots Dzor Province) and on the Goraik-Zanger road in the Syunik Province, there is black ice in some areas.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
