Video: Facade Tiles Fall from Building in Abovyan onto Car

On December 26, at 09:42, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call to the "911" emergency service reporting that facade tiles had fallen from the fifth floor of building No. 28 in the 2nd microdistrict of Abovyan city, Kotayk Province, onto a parked car. Additionally, tiles from the sixth floor were reported to be loose, posing a risk of falling.

Emergency services dispatched a rescue team from the Ministry's special purpose rescue activities center. It was determined that the tiles from the sixth floor did not pose any immediate danger at that time. However, approximately 1.5 square meters of tiles from the fifth floor had fallen onto a parked "Opel Astra G" vehicle located about one meter away from the building. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

The rescue team cordoned off the area. The chairman of the "Sevan" cooperative was present at the scene and assured that appropriate measures would be taken.
