This is a New Motivation for the Tokyo Olympic Games: Simon Martirosyan

Simon Martirosyan, a member of the Armenian weightlifting team, is pleased to be awarded the gold medal previously won by another athlete in Rio 2016.

“I am happy that my silver medal will be turned into gold; I would have been even happier if this had happened in 2016. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and wait for the official announcement. To be honest, I am not in shock, I knew about this earlier, but I was waiting for the official confirmation. This serves as new motivation for me for the Tokyo Olympic Games,” Martirosyan said in an interview with Armenpress.
