Weightlifter Tatev Hakobyan Becomes World Cup Champion

The members of the Armenian weightlifting team have had a successful start at the World Cup tournament. In the latest round of the ongoing World Cup competition, Tatev Hakobyan (87 kg) from the women's team lifted 105 kg in the snatch and 127 kg in the clean and jerk. With a combined total of 232 kg, Hakobyan became the gold medalist.

Another Armenian athlete, Izabella Yailyan, ranked 6th in the 59 kg category with a total lift of 201 kg.
