Police Uncover Illegal Deforestation Incident

Police officers from the Ijevan division, acting on received information, collaboratively conducted an operation with environmental protection staff. On December 20, around 3 PM, they discovered 11 pieces of one-meter-long oak wood in the area known as 'Darut River' within the 5th guard section of the 'Ijevan Forestry.'

It has been established that on December 19, a 45-year-old resident of Yerevan Street in Ijevan illegally cut down an oak tree using a chainsaw in the aforementioned area. The suspect has provided a confession. Investigations are ongoing, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
