3-Year-Old Girl Dies from Swine Flu in Ararat Village
A 3-year-old girl has died in the village of Ararat, located in the Ararat region, as reported by news.am. According to the "Ararat Hospital" medical center, the child had been receiving treatment there for two days before being transferred to the "Holy Mother of God" medical center due to complications in her condition.
When asked about the rumors and suspicions regarding whether the child died from "swine flu," the director of the medical center, Arayik Sardarjan, did not deny the information. "There are such rumors, but since she has been in the 'Holy Mother of God' for three days, it would be best to verify with them," he stated.
Alina Nikoghosyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, confirmed that the girl had been diagnosed with "swine flu," but noted that they cannot assert that this was the cause of death. "The parents did not seek medical assistance for almost a month, and the child's condition sharply deteriorated due to measures taken at home. The child experienced severe febrile seizures, neuroinfection, and had problems with her brain," she added.
