Nissan Crashes into Rocks and Overturns on Yerevan-Meghri Highway; Driver Hospitalized

A major traffic accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor province yesterday, December 20. Around 12:30 PM, Alla Aleksanyan, a 52-year-old resident of Yeghgnadzor, lost control of his Nissan vehicle with license plate 67 AL 333 on the 132 km stretch of the Yerevan-Meghri highway. The car veered off the roadway, crashed into rocks, and overturned.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, driver A. Aleksanyan was transported to the Yeghgnadzor Medical Center with bodily injuries. Authorities from the 1st platoon of the 6th company of the Road Police's 2nd police battalion, led by investigator Sirekanian, arrived at the scene to prepare documentation regarding the incident.

According to information from G. Shamshyan, driver A. Aleksanyan is a private entrepreneur.
