A Wanted Notice Has Been Issued for Armen Known as 'Sicil' in the Criminal Underworld
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on December 21, a wanted notice has been issued for Armen S., a resident of Yerevan, who is better known in the criminal underworld by the nickname 'Sicil'. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the head of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts, Hovhannes Poghosyan, has formed an investigative group led by his first deputy GarNik Matevosyan. They submitted a request to the Yerevan City Court to issue a detention order for 'Sicil', who is also wanted by the police of the Erebuni division.
The judge conducted an in-camera hearing and, upon returning from the deliberation room, granted the investigative body’s request. If 'Sicil', who is suspected of committing a murder with the use of firearms, is found or voluntarily presents himself to the law enforcement authorities, he will be transferred to the 'Nubarashen' penitentiary.
A murder occurred in Yerevan on December 18. Around 22:10, the Erebuni police received a report from the 'Erebuni' medical center that a man had been brought in dead. The police established that the deceased had been transported from the 2nd street of the Railway Workers. Police officers arrived at the hospital and proceeded to the scene, where they discovered traces of blood.
