Pharmacy Selling Suspicious Drugs Obstructs Health Inspectors' Work

The specialists of the Medicines Circulation Control Division of the Yerevan Territorial Center of the Health and Labor Inspectorate of Armenia discovered unmarked and potentially suspicious drugs during an inspection of the pharmacy belonging to individual entrepreneur Naira Adamyan, located at address 6/2 Torosyan, Nor Hajn, Kotayk Province, following a tip received through the inspectorate's hotline.

During the preparation of the official report by the inspectorate's staff, the business owner obstructed their work by quickly removing the mentioned drugs from the pharmacy, despite requests from employees to return the drugs and avoid complicating the situation. Consequently, the aforementioned suspicious drugs were not fully documented.

According to Article 42 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Armenia, failure to comply with directives from officials of the inspectorate or hindering inspections, studies, and administrative proceedings conducted by the Health and Labor Inspectorate can result in fines imposed on officials amounting to eighty to one hundred fifty times the minimum salary.

As a result, it has been recorded that the individual entrepreneur Naira Adamyan obstructed the inspection and has been fined.
