Investigation of Alleged Misconduct by Aragatsotn Senior Investigator Concludes: No Violations Found by the Prosecutor's Office

On November 21, 2019, the Special Investigation Service of Armenia forwarded a complaint from journalist Grisha Balasanyan of the "Horizon" newspaper, addressed to the Prosecutor General and the head of the Special Investigation Service, to the Internal Security Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. The complaint included an unsigned document titled 'The Family from Hartavan Has Been Beaten in Their Own Home, No Criminal Case Has Been Initiated' concerning alleged violations by Senior Investigator D. Voskanian of the Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department.

In response to the complaint, an inquiry was conducted by the Internal Security Division of the Investigative Committee under the directive of the Committee President Haik Grigoryan, during which no signs of disciplinary violations by the Committee's staff were identified.
