Body of a Man Found Under the Concrete Pillar of the Davitashen Bridge Underpass

Today, on December 20, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 18:00, officers from the 3rd battalion of the patrol service of the Yerevan city police discovered the body of a man under a concrete pillar of the Davitashen Bridge underpass, which leads up to Gevorg Emin Street in the Arabkir administrative district.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the battalion commander, Samson Gharibyan, reported the information to the Arabkir police division, from where an operational group arrived under the leadership of division chief Armen Vatyan. A group from the Investigative Committee of Armenia’s Yerevan investigative administration, headed by investigator Ashot Sargsyan, also arrived.

Police officers and investigators found the man's body under the concrete pillar of the stairs in the specified underpass. Currently, Arabkir police, led by deputy chief of operations Igor Mesropyan, are trying to identify the deceased. Materials are being prepared in connection with the fact at the Arabkir investigative division. According to preliminary information, the deceased was a homeless person and may have died suddenly.
