VIDEO: Supporter of Robert Kocharyan Offered March 1 Victim to Withdraw Testimony
A supporter of Robert Kocharyan has offered a victim of the March 1 case to withdraw their testimony. This information was revealed through extensive operational-investigative measures conducted by the National Police of the Republic of Armenia based on information received from the Chief Department of Criminal Police.
It has been uncovered that supporters of Robert Kocharyan have been meeting with individuals affected by the events of March 1, 2008, and eyewitnesses, attempting to bribe them to retract their testimonies. Specifically, one of Kocharyan's supporters invited a victim of the March 1 events to their office in Kanaker and proposed to withdraw from their victim status and their testimony, stating that they were willing to pay the amount that the state is supposed to provide as financial assistance.
Additionally, they promised that after a change of power, the victim would be appointed to a high position.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident, and searches have been carried out as part of the criminal proceedings. The circumstances are being investigated.
