Court Recognizes the Arrest of Razmik Abrahamyan as Unlawful

The General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan, presided over by Judge David Balayan, has just recognized the arrest of Razmik Abrahamyan, the director of the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, as unlawful. This was reported to Hetq.am by Abrahamyan's lawyer, Samvel Dilbandyan.

It is noteworthy that Abrahamyan was arrested yesterday in connection with a criminal case investigating abuses in the process of foreign adoptions. Three other individuals were also arrested alongside him.

Abrahamyan’s lawyer stated that even though the decision regarding the unlawful nature of the arrest is in their favor, Abrahamyan remains in the intensive care unit, where he will continue to stay.

According to Samvel Dilbandyan, Razmik Abrahamyan has not faced any individual, and he has not even been invited to provide testimony as a witness in the context of the criminal case.
