Black Ice Reported in Vardenyats Pass as of 22:00

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 19 at 22:00, the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are primarily passable.

However, there are areas with black ice in the Vardenyats Pass. Drivers of heavy vehicles are advised to use tire chains.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Division in Georgia and the North Ossetia's Emergency Department, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
