VIDEO: No Vehicle Acquired for Mariam Pashinyan, Clarification
No new vehicle has been acquired for Mariam Pashinyan, and the vehicle serving her is not a 2019 model. This was stated by Vladimir Karapetyan, the press secretary of the Prime Minister, in an interview with Auroranews.
The acting head of the government's Information and Public Relations Department did not provide information about the vehicle but noted that according to Article 6.1, Part 3 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on "Ensuring the Security of Persons Under Special State Protection," "During the period of the Prime Minister's office, state protection is also provided to family members who reside with him and accompany him."
Earlier, Politik.am reported that a vehicle worth $27,000 was personally chosen by Mariam Pashinyan and was purchased with funds from the state protection service. Details in the video.
