‘Hraparak’. Did Serzh Sargsyan Insult Sergo Karapetyan During Their Confrontation?

‘Hraparak’ newspaper reports that interesting "scenes" occurred during the confrontation between Serzh Sargsyan and former Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, according to the newspaper's sources.

Throughout the confrontation, Sergo Karapetyan, who kept looking exclusively at his feet, was asked by Serzh Sargsyan, "Sergo, did I ever say such a thing to you?" It is worth noting that the former minister testified that he awarded the tender for supplying diesel fuel to the villages to Baseg from Flash by the instruction of Serzh Sargsyan, despite a lower-priced alternative being available.

Sergo Karapetyan responded, “Mr. President, I am a believer and an honest man, I cannot lie.” To this, Serzh Sargsyan replied and insulted him, asking, “If you are a believer, why did you follow my illegal order and cause harm to the state, Sergo?”

Incidentally, Karapetyan sought not to be alone in his testimony and attempted to recruit others who could also testify. He saw one of his former department heads and asked, “Do you remember that I told you that Serzh Sargsyan instructed that Flash should supply the diesel fuel?”

The department head evaded the question, replying, “No, you didn’t say it was Serzh Sargsyan; you said ‘the boss,’ and I understood it to mean the Prime Minister.”
