The Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, Haikak Arshamyan, is in Beirut on a special mission. Through the National Leadership of Lebanon, he has transferred a donation of $150,000 to 18 Armenian educational institutions in Lebanon, of which $50,000 is from the Artsakh government. "With this, we express our solidarity with the community and also call on all Armenians to focus their attention on this crisis and stand by the Armenian community in Lebanon," reported the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

According to the National Leadership of Lebanon, Arshamyan was received by the Primate of the Armenian Community in Lebanon, His Grace Archbishop Narek, along with the Khatchkar of Lebanon, Rev. Father Anania Guchaneyan, and the Secretary of the Religious Council of the National Administration, Rev. Father Sargis Sargsyan, as well as the Chairperson of the Political Council, Raffi Sislean. Also present were the Chairperson of the Lebanon body of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, Sargis Armenian, and Vice-Chairman Grigor Terzeyan, along with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Lebanon, Vahagn Atabekyan.

"In this situation, when the Armenian community in Lebanon is facing severe economic conditions due to the socio-economic crisis, your support ensures the continuous mission of Armenian education and cultural preservation of the Armenian school. The $150,000 you donated will be distributed by the National Leadership to 18 Armenian schools in Lebanon, which will go towards scholarships for 5,020 students.

“We consider this support from the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund a tangible expression of unity and cooperation between Armenia and the Diaspora, for which we express our gratitude to our compatriots,” said the Primate of the Armenian Community in Lebanon, Narek Archbishop Alemezian.

Later, the National Leadership of Lebanon announced that benefactor Yerjo Samuelian had donated 125 million Lebanese pounds to the leadership, which will be directed towards "Support for Needy Armenians in Lebanon," the "Armenian Student Sponsorship Program," and the "Zvartnots" special educational center.

Previously, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, issued a paternal appeal to support organizations and families in distress within the Armenian community in Lebanon. The mission of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund is to establish a network of interconnected systems with the aim of ensuring the balanced, stable, and interconnected development of Armenia, Artsakh, and the global Armenian communities, based on a common identity,” the statement said.
