Defense Ministry and Prison Service Employees Involved in Accident in Balakhovit Village

On December 17, an accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 08:30, vehicles driven by 43-year-old Arkadi Yengibaryan, a resident of Alapars village, and 33-year-old Hakob Zhamharyan from Abovyan city collided in the administrative area of Balakhovit village. According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the Ford vehicle veered off the road and ended up half-turned among the trees.

Responding to the scene were officers from the 1st platoon of the 3rd battalion of the 2nd police regiment, led by battalion commander Arthur Petrosyan and platoon commander Tigran Kotanjyan. The senior investigator of the same platoon, Mayis Badoyan, coordinated the investigative work on-site, preparing materials concerning the incident.

According to G. Shamshyan's reports, one of the drivers works for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, while the other is employed by the Correctional Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.
