VIDEO: Assault Rifle and Ammunition Found in Parked Car

On December 16, the Dilijan police department received a report regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on Myasnikyan Street in Dilijan for nearly a month.

A response team that arrived at the scene inspected a white "Zhiguli" car.

Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered a factory-numbered assault rifle designed to fire 7.62 mm caliber ammunition. They also found a magazine loaded with the same caliber rounds.

It was determined that the car's license plates were stolen, while the identification numbers for the chassis and engine had been destroyed.

The "VAZ 2107" has been moved to a secured area of the Dilijan police department.

Operational investigative measures are underway to identify and locate the owner of the vehicle. Examinations have been ordered, including forensic analysis. The circumstances surrounding the case are being clarified.
