Peskov Announces Upcoming Meetings Between Putin and Erdogan

There are currently no confirmed plans for a Russian-Turkish summit regarding the situation in Syria as Russian President Vladimir Putin's working schedule has not outlined such meetings for February. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian President, as reported by RIA Novosti. He added that a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled for January.

Peskov noted that no other visits are planned at the moment, but they could emerge quite rapidly. Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu mentioned at a conference in Doha, Qatar, that Turkey intends to hold a separate summit with Russia alongside the one regarding Syria, which will take place in Istanbul in February.
