The Issues We Are Currently Facing Are Not New; They Have Been Ongoing for 10 Years – Revazyan
The issues we are currently facing are not new; these problems have persisted for 10 years. TatEvik Revazyan, the head of the Civil Aviation Committee, stated this during a meeting with reporters on December 16, addressing the fact that the European Commission has tightened control over Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee.
“We are currently addressing these issues. We attended the relevant committee meeting and delivered a solid presentation, as a result of which no Armenian airline ended up on the so-called 'black list,'” she said.
Revazyan also noted that no sanctions have been imposed on Armenia. “Airlines registered in Armenia have applied to operate flights to Europe, and problems have been identified with them, which has led to increased oversight of our Civil Aviation. If the airlines had applied earlier, the issue would have arisen sooner.
Earlier, NEWS.am reported that the European Commission had intensified its oversight of Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee. Regarding this issue, TatEvik Revazyan mentioned that the problem arose after Taron Avia, Atlantis European Airways, and ‘Aviacompania Armenia’ sought to operate flights to Europe and attempted to obtain permission. 'Aviacompania Armenia' passed the inspection, Atlantis European Airways passed with certain issues, while Taron Avia did not pass due to serious problems that affected flight safety.
