Shirak Region of Armenia and Hainan Province of China Sign Memorandum

During the visit of the Armenian delegation to China, a memorandum of interregional cooperation was signed between the Shirak region of Armenia and Hainan Province of China. As reported by Armenpress, the delegation from the Republic of Armenia is represented by Sergey Manasyan, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to China, Tigran Petrosyan, the Governor of Shirak, and Sergey Avanesov, the President of the Regional Development Foundation of China-Armenia Relations.

The delegation is participating in the "International Winter Fair of Tropical Agricultural Crops China-2019" exhibition from December 12-16. According to the information department of the Shirak Regional Administration, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation has been signed between Tigran Petrosyan, the Governor of Shirak, and Shen Xiaoming, the head of Hainan Province.

The agreement is a practical step in establishing and strengthening close relations between the regions of the two countries, focusing on areas such as trade and economic relations, agriculture and food industry, tourism, healthcare, mining, urban development, energy, education, science, culture, and the implementation of large investment projects.

Accordingly, the parties are committed to promoting trade and economic cooperation by creating favorable conditions for joint business and investments, and within their powers, they will facilitate direct contacts between the business communities.
