Investigation Launched Over Hunting of Bezoar Goat Listed in the Red Book

On December 14, officers from the Artashat police department, acting on received information, discovered a head of a bezoar goat, listed in the Red Book, with its skin, in the home of a resident of the village of Azatavain.

Thanks to joint efforts by personnel from the Ararat regional police department, Artashat and Ararat divisions, it was revealed that a resident of Vedi city, who is a police officer, had killed the bezoar goat using a 'Vepr' type 5.45 mm rifled firearm approximately 2 km away from the village of Dashtakhar at a site known as 'Kotobulakh' on December 11 around 15:00. He then skinned the animal and transported it home, and the next day he transferred it to the house of a resident of Azatavain for processing using his 'VAZ 2107' car.

On December 15, the police officer presented himself at the Artashat police station, presented the firearm, and provided a confession. The circumstances of the case are being clarified, materials are being prepared, and an internal investigation has been initiated.
