Erdogan Threatens to Recognize Native American Genocide
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that Turkey's Parliament may adopt a resolution regarding the genocide of Native Americans during America's colonization, in response to the U.S. Senate's recognition of the Armenian Genocide that occurred during the Ottoman Empire in 1915. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“We have opened more than a million documents about the events of 1915. Come, study them. We are talking with documents in hand. We also need to take action against you with similar resolutions from our Parliament. And we will do that. Can we remain silent when discussing Native Americans? That is a shameful page for the U.S.,” Erdogan said during an interview on A Haber channel.
