Attention: Several Streets in the Capital Will Be Temporarily Closed
The Yerevan City Hall informs that due to preparations for the New Year events, several streets will be closed temporarily, mainly for a few days, during nighttime hours.
"Dear residents, several streets will be temporarily closed in the Republic Square of the capital due to the preparations for the New Year holiday events, as well as on certain days for security considerations of the events, in particular.
To install an overhead passage leading to the main Christmas tree, traffic will be suspended from December 18, 21:00 to December 19, 08:00 on the circular section leading from Republic Square to V. Sargsyan Street and the traffic flow from V. Sargsyan Street to the circular section of Republic Square.
For the purposes of rehearsals for the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree and organizing the event, traffic will be suspended on the Nalbandyan-Abovyan section from December 19, 21:00 to December 20, 05:00 and on December 20 from 19:00 until December 21, 24:00.
On December 21, from 17:00 to 24:00, all streets leading to Republic Square will be closed.
To organize the concert on December 31, traffic will be suspended on the Nalbandyan-Abovyan section from December 29, 22:00 until January 1, 08:00.
On December 31, from 17:00 until January 1, 06:00, all streets leading to Republic Square will be closed.
For the purpose of organizing the Christmas concert on January 5, 2020, traffic on the Nalbandyan-Abovyan section will be suspended from 11:00 until 24:00," the statement from the City Hall reads.
