69-Year-Old Man Committed Immoral Acts Against Minors in Shoe Workshop
The investigation into the case of a 69-year-old man committing immoral acts against children under the age of 12 has concluded at the Investigation Division of the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts.
Charges have been brought against one individual. As a result of investigative actions conducted during the pre-trial proceedings, it was revealed that the resident of Yerevan, born in 1950, kept pets in his shoe workshop located on the ground floor of a building and, under the pretense of loving the animals, hosted and committed immoral acts against two children under the age of 12 in August 2018.
Based on sufficient evidence collected, the 69-year-old man was charged under Article 142, Part 3, Point 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (for two incidents). A preventive measure has been chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.
The completion of the preliminary investigation has been announced, and the criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor overseeing the legality of the investigation with a motion to approve the indictment and forward it to court.
